Place of residence

Laidi Manor Castle and Laidi village

The Laidi Manor ensemble is a cultural monument of national importance. It was first mentioned in the chronicles of Kurzeme manors in 1562. In the early 19th century, Fonmanteifel bought the manor for his daughter Johanna Fonlampsdorf. By the castle, Count Nikolaus Lambsdorf set up a landscape park with ponds. After the first world war, the parish school was started at the manor, which operated until the 2022 graduation. From that point on, the castle has been taken over by the creative universe - an association of artists, creative people and organisations.
